Abstract

Agentic AI systems are rapidly evolving from passive inference engines into autonomous entities capable of perceiving, reasoning, and acting in dynamic environments. This shift introduces a new class of requirements for wireless networks, where connectivity is no longer limited to transporting data between users and remote computing units, but becomes an integral component of distributed intelligence and autonomous decision-making.

This panel will explore how future wireless networks can support large-scale agentic AI ecosystems involving heterogeneous edge devices, e.g., personal devices, robots, and vehicles, that interact with cloud-native AI agents. Key topics include distributed inference and reasoning, semantic and goal-oriented communications, and the joint optimization of communication, computation, sensing, and control.

The discussion will also investigate how agentic AI may reshape the design and operation of wireless networks themselves, enabling autonomous network management, adaptive resource allocation, and closed-loop optimization. Bringing together perspectives from wireless communications, networking, and artificial intelligence, the panel will identify key research challenges, architectural choices, and opportunities for agent-native wireless systems toward 6G.
